The Young Israel of Commack was founded in 1970 in a small house in Kings Park, NY.

It is now located on a 5 acre campus in Commack, NY in a large school building. The building houses a shul and beis midrash, a nursery school for ages 2 through 5, a special needs nursery school for ages 2 through 5, and a gymnastics school open to all ages.

The congregation consists of people from all backgrounds, and there is a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Young Israel of Commack is affiliated with the National Council of Young Israel and has a current membership of about 125 families.
